AZMAN BREAKS SILENCE ON PURPORTED STATEMENT

THE SUSPENSION OF AZMAN AIR AND THE PURPORTED REACTION FROM AZMAN AIR AGAINST THE PERSON OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF NCAA, CAPT. MUSA NUHU - AN UNFORTUNATE DELIBERATE DISTRACTION We wish to state, unequivocally and categorically, and without any iota of doubt, that the recent publication making rounds in the media in which an attack,  purported to be masterminded by Azman Air in reaction to NCAA's suspension of its operations, was launched on the personal integrity of the DG, NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu, never came from Azman Air. There is no iota of truth in that publication as the contents never represented any facts but deliberate falsehood targeted at discrediting not only the hardworking DG but also Azman Air. We were equally as shocked as anyone when we saw the unfortunate publication in the social media. Yes, we had our request for expatriate pilots turned down but this has nothing to do with the integrity of the DG as a person as other airlines were so treated hence we have decide

Azman Air: Over 1,000 Staff Affected, N80m Revenue Lost Daily due to NCAA Suspension

Over 1,000 staff of Azman Air will be directly affected if the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) does not soft-pedal and lift a suspension order it placed on the airline. PRNigeria gathered that the airline was on Tuesday grounded by NCAA over safety reasons. In the wake of NCAA’s hammer, Azman announced the cancellation of all its flights between Tuesday, March 16, and Friday, March 19. The development left many passengers who purchased the airline’s tickets stranded. Azman, earlier on Tuesday, took to its Twitter page, saying it was suspending its operations due to a safety audit by the NCAA. The NCAA arrived at the decision to suspend the airline after its management meeting on Monday. The Director-General of the NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, who announced the suspension in a statement, said the decision followed a series of incidents involving the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft and in pursuant to Section 35 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2006, and Part 1.3.3.3 (A) of the Nigeria C

Azman Air Seeks Immediate Lifting of Suspension

Azman  Air has written a protest letter to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) demanding the lifting of suspension of its operations, while insisting that the regulatory agency’s decision was too hasty. In the letter which was seen by the Daily Sun, the airline’s accountable manager, Muhammad Hadi Abdulmunaf, said even though the NCAA investigated two of the three incidents which happened this month and cleared the aircraft for operations, the third incident had not been investigated, hence there is no basis for suspension. It then asked the Authority to reverse the suspension “in line with the established precedent in respect of other airlines which has similar incidents/experiences in the past. This is particularly necessary in the interest of justice, fairness, and fairplay.” The letter with title: Re: Suspension of Parts A3 and D43 of the Operations Specifications Issued to Azman Air” reads: “Shortly after recur of the letter, we received a zoom conference invitation which

Tukur on Azman Air Suspension: AON President should Resign on Reckless and Unprofessional Statement

The Chairman of Fly Hudson Aviation and former Deputy General Secretary of the Airlines Operators of Nigeria, (AON) Alhaji Mohammed Tukur has joined other industry stakeholders in condemning the statement issued by the AZMAN Airlines’ management after the suspension of its operations by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). Recall that the airline’s Boeing 737 series were on Monday grounded by the  NCAA for safety audit following several incidents and mass sack of its pilots for their refusals to fly on safety grounds. The management in Reacting to the suspension of its operations by the NCAA, management  of Azman Air issued a statement claiming that the action of the authority was a vendata from the Director-General, Captain Musa Nuhu over unresolved transaction way back in his days as the Nigeria’s permanent Representative at the International Civil Aviation Organization, (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada. Alhaji Mohammed who described the press statement by the airline as reckless a

NCAA/AZMAN AIR SAGA: A WITCH-HUNT FROM MUSA NUHU

Recently Azman Air received a letter referenced number NCAA/DG/AIR/11/16/300 dated 15 March 2021 signed by DG NCAA Captain Musa Nuhu informing them about the suspension of their flight operations without any Justifiable Course.  However, it is equally important to inform the General Public about the circumstances that led to this unfortunate situation. A) Prior to the appointment of Musa Nuhu, DG of NCAA, while he was serving as Nigerian ICAO representative in Canada, few years back. He was at Azman Air Head Office in Kano with copies of ICAO Magazines, which featured Azman Air advert and demanded the sum of 15 million Naira for the publications, which the Managing Director of Azman Air Faisal Abdulmunaf outrightly rejected. B) On his appointment and assumption of duty as DG NCAA, he started his vendetta against Azman Air. Such as, raising serious allegations against the airline in different meetings, which Azman Air always objected on spot. Most of the time it is obvious this infuriat
